Our CTO Damon Neale will be speaking on AI on the panel “Artificial Intelligence – How far can it go?” at the International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam:
IBC 2019 – 15:30-16:00 Sunday 15th September
IABM TV IABM Member Lounge Level 2, Hall 4, Studio 2
The panel will discuss the question: “Will Artificial Intelligence dominate broadcast and media?”
IABM research indicates that the most popular AI applications are currently in the Manage, Produce and Support sectors. In a 2018 survey 81% of respondents suggested they have deployed AI or are “very likely/somewhat likely” to do so soon. As systems management and orchestration becomes complex in an IT/IP world the research result is not surprising. However more visible to professionals and consumers are the production applications and personalisation.

The Future of Cloud
Damon will also be doing a talk at 3.30pm local time on Monday on “The Future of the Cloud and the Upcoming Opportunities to Improve Your Workflow”.
The near future of the cloud for M&E is Multi-Cloud, Server-less and SaaS. On the horizon, there’s also potential for no workstations on premise at all; with users working remotely over a 5G connection via zero client or web browser! We’ll see a competition between edge micro data centres and fog computing too. Join us to discover the future of the cloud for businesspeople and technologists and next steps to learn more about the cloud of today and tomorrow.
